Quebec City..Oh là là!
Quebec City is everything and more than I was hoping for! It reminded us of Paris...minus the Eiffel Tower, the Louve, the museums and the attitudes!
On our way to Quebec City we stopped at a park on the banks of the Saint Lawrence River. It is a massive river that runs from Lake Ontario to the Atlantic Ocean. The river drains more than a quarter of the world's freshwater reserves.
The tides on the river are impressive. We can only assume he anchored at high tide!
Beautiful views of the Canadian mountains across the water.
Old vs new. Our hotel in back with the walled city Kent Gate entrance in front.
Adorable side streets
Flambed shrimp on our foodie walking tour.
I loved looked at the restaurant and street signs.
Cafe where we had dinner one night. Met a couple there from my sister's hometown. Not so amazing until you find out she's from Berlin, Wi..

Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré
The oldest pilgrimage site in North America.
Saint Anne has been credited by the Catholic Church of curing many sick and disabled. The cures, it is said, started as early as 1658. On the pillars are crutches and canes left behind from some who had been cured.
Took a trip to ÎIe d'Orléans at the suggestion of my friend, Michele, an original Québécois.
What an adorable island in the middle of the Saint Lawrence..with farms, beautiful homes and quaint shops.
In the hotel and started hearing booms! Looked out our window and were rewarded with an amazing fireworks show..with great seats from the 17th floor.
Now on to Montreal.
